Seeing it’s the Walkman’s 30th anniversary‎, thought I go through the stuff in the basement, things used before the iPods and smartphones we have today.

University day planner, last used sometime in early/mid 1997.

Panasonic CD player, guessing it was last used sometime in 1999 when I installed an in-dash CD player in the Honda Accord.

And the Sony Walkman, which in fact was used not too long ago, relatively speaking, during the blackout of 2003. Wired into the floor speakers listening to CBC radio.

Day two of Luminato…

Record attempt at having the largest guitar ensemble, unfortunately a bit short at 1,623 guitarists registered to play Neil Young’s “Helpless” vs the current record holder back in 2007 set in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, with 1,802 people playing “Smoke on the Water”.

Then lucked out with the patio seating at Jack Astor’s, with salsa dance lessons going on at the square.

Took the opportunity and headed out to the track with a bunch of friends not to drive, but to brush up on my panning skills with the camera.

… for the Cherry blossoms.

As one guy (he’s Asian) commented on facebook, “Asians with cameras day at High Park” along with “somehow High Park had been moved to Markham some time during the night”. Guilty as charged!
